  4. Make sure to set up the ladder at a slope of 4 – 1 which means one foot back for every four feet up.
  5. Do not carry any tools and materials in your hand when climbing up or down.
  6. Always make a three point contact to climb up or down a ladder which means two feet and one hand on the ladder or two hands and one foot.
  7. When climbing face the ladder always.
  8. Make sure that your foot wear is clean.
  9. If someone is already on the ladder never steps on until they stepped off.
  10. Keep an eye out for electrical lines, when moving a ladder from one place to another.
